8. Dead Woman Mound
This is another mound in the region. It is much smaller than Ghost Mound and has two peaks.
It is named "Dead Woman Mound" because, apparently, the body of a dead woman was found once found here.
It is possible that Dead Woman Mound may also have played a role in the creation of the story, but this is less likely as it does not seem to be associated with the ghost tales that Ghost Mound is.
