Nice, Jimmy. Seriously, you don't look a day over twenty-five in those pics. I do vote for keeping the one on the template, though. You just look way retro.

Interesting...Do you crush soda cans with merely a sharp gaze?
Posted by: Robert Jenkins | Aug 27, 2004 5:21:14 AM
Lookin' sharp!
Posted by: Justin West | Aug 27, 2004 7:23:34 AM
What is it that's shrinking, Jimmmy? Not your hairline, I hope! ;-)

WOO HOO!!! Way to go Jimmy... and go... and go... :D

What's the deal with the portfolio, JA? Will we be seeing you in the Sears Catalog?
Posted by: Noemie Lenoir | Aug 27, 2004 12:16:01 PM
Wow'sa! Very nice work there.
Lookin seksi! ~.~

don't you mean "LESS TO COME IN A FEW MONTHS"?
Nice job.

Congratulations Jimmy; you're looking good.
If you're going to put up a new photo, though, I vote for the one with the hat and the green T-shirt. Definitely, keep the hat. It makes you look as though you are Not To Be Messed With.

Thanks for all the support, folks! I really appreciate it!
Jamie: I may post a more retro pic in the future, but for now I wanted a thin one. In the future I'll look at getting one that's both retro and thin.
Robert: I crushed a number when I was on my trip. Didn't want them littering up the cab of my pickup and didn't want the litter bag to overflow. Took more than gazing at them, though.
Noemie: Not a portfolio per se. I needed a new work picture (in a suit) and a new blog picture (not in a suit), so I had a bunch taken I could then pick the good ones from. My old work picture ("Back In The Day") and my old blog picture ("Then") weren't accurate any more.

Good work Skinny Jimmy! From James to Jimmy to Skinny. Janet and I can tell a difference even from the time you were here. Sticking to the diet is a tremendous effort and we are proud of you! Janet says, "What a handsome guy!" (I think even Monk would be proud of you, and maybe even shake your hand without a wipie!)

Thanks to both of you! And gotta love that Monk!

Looking great, but what happened to the smile?
The old photos showed you smiling (or at least with a smirk), the new ones all look way to serious!

I like the left one with the dark red background...THAT should be your main pic!

I second Justin's motion (though the Texan in me also likes the hat). Time to replace the current "blog head" shot, which just doesn't reflect your changing state of fitness -- and it brings to mind Brian Keith's own "Before Look" in "The Rare Breed"! ;^)
Your perseverance is bearing fruit. Muy buen hecho, Jimmy!

Apologies for the prior anonymous post ... and I *still* second the motion!
Thx,
Mary

I don't see the point?!? Do you look different (less hair), or what?
Posted by: Enoch | Apr 25, 2005 2:57:49 PM
Keep it up Jimmy! You're doing great!

Jimmy,
Have you heard of Light Weigh Program? It is different than any other diet program around...look into it!
Posted by: Short-n-Sweet | Feb 12, 2006 6:29:35 PM
Jimmy, Has anybody ever told you that you look a bit like Kevin Smith?
Posted by: Me | Mar 23, 2006 5:46:10 PM
Maybe if I dyed my hair dark brown or something.
Posted by: Jimmy Akin | Mar 23, 2006 6:40:39 PM
Don't lose too much weight Jimmy. You could end up looking like Willie off "The Simpsons".
Posted by: MaryC | May 4, 2006 12:15:38 PM
You look wonderful (as always), but the important thing is, you probably feel better at a lighter scale-weight.
Well done. :-)

Jimmy, I can't stop laughing!! You look really great...but I just get a kick how you "saved" those pics...me -really old; me-older, etc.
I bet you are a hoot in person.
Isn't it time to update these?
